Services available from ODPM
In keeping with ODPM ‘s mandate, the services offered by the agency are as follows:
Planning and coordination services for times of emergencies/disasters:- facilitating the preparation of response and recovery plans and hazard mitigation programmes by agencies having principal responsibility in those areas. This includes consultancy services which provide specialist insight on the development, review and testing of disaster plans and mitigation initiatives to the public.
Information services:-
ODPM provides disaster management and related information to the public on hazards, mitigation, preparation, events, response and recovery. The agency hosts a special reference library (including AV materials) on disaster management and provides, upon request, presentations and lectures on related topics.

Simulation Exercises:-
ODPM facilitates the development and running of simulation exercises; drills, tabletops and full-scale simulation exercises in collaboration with the specialist agency.
Relief and recovery services:- providing administrative and management services for the provision of emergency relief and recovery through votes and funds allocated to the agency for these purposes. The agency also undertakes logistic services to support such operations.
